Item Details
(American/Russian 1886-1933) Oil on canvas depicting a view through trees cattle grazing & figures. SIZE: 12" x14" Overall 18" x 20" Housed in ornate gilt gesso wood frame. Signed 'AM Podchernikoff' CONDITION: Appears to be very good, not examined out of frame BIO: In Moscow he was awarded a gold medal for his work "My Beloved Russian Woods" which was purchased by the Royal Art Commission. He immigrated to America, settled in S. California. Well known for his California landscapes. Following in the style of Corot, (French prolific painter that inspired many Impressionists) his works are widely recognized and hang in galleries & California Art museums.
