Terms Of Sale
1. All bidders must have a current drivers license for live auction registration.
2. The auction company has endeavoured to catalog and describe accurately the property to be sold. General conditions varying from major flaws to minor defects have been noted. To be certain of condition, please examine the items in person or contact the auctioneer for specific information.
3. The purchaser assumes full responsibility for items at the fall of the gavel.
4. The record of sale kept by the auction house will be taken as final in the case of a dispute.
5. The auctioneer will acknowledge the high bidder of each lot and will be the sole judge of the purchaser of each item. In the case of duplicate left bids, efforts will be made to advise the involved bidders of the situation. Generally, the first left bid received will have preference.
6. There will be a premium of 10% added to the hammer price of each lot at live auction and of 15% in the internet auction and it will be considered part of the purchase price.
7. All advance bids and related financial considerations must be completed by 8:00 pm. on Sunday, February 18/17.
8. All purchases will be subject to GST (Goods and Services Tax at 13%).Out-of-country buyers are advised that GST is not applied. Bidding in $CDN. Currency rates on sale day will apply.Currently $1.00 US is equal to $1.23 Cdn.
9. All items purchased must be paid in full on sale day by cash, debit, approved Canadian cheque, Visa, M/C.
10. Arrangements for shipping and/or storage must be concluded prior to auction. Internet purchasers are advised that shipping will be provided by Purolator Canada at the purchaser's expense. All customs duties are also the responsibility of the purchaser. Specific shipping information for internet buyers may be obtained from the auctioneer.
11. All property is sold where-is, as-is and neither the auction company nor the consignor make any warranties or representations of any kind or nature with respect to property or its value, and in no event shall they be responsible for correctness of
description, genuineness, attribution, provenance, authenticity, authorship, completeness, condition of property or estimate of value. No statement, oral or written in the catalog, at the sale or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty or representation, or any assumption of responsibility.
12. Bidding on any article indicates your full acceptance of all the above terms.
Third Party Liability. Any person on the Jarvis Community Centre premises before, during or after the sale is deemed to be there at his/her own risk and shall have no claim against the auction house, its employees or the owners of the Jarvis Community Centre in respect of any injury sustained or any accident of any nature that may occur on said property.
