Item Details
Dreyfus, Bernard (b. 1940, Managua, Nicaragua; resides in Paris) Untitled. acrylic and resin on panel. 49.5" x 49.5". Dreyfus was born in Managua, Nicaragua but has spent most of his adult life in Paris. He has exhibited his work since the early 1970s. As the famous French playwright, Eugène Ionesco, said of Bernard's work: “I like Bernard Dreyfus, because his painting is not a simple problem of colors, of pictorial technique, but because it is interrogation of the enigma." The themes encountered in the artist's work throughout his entire career indicate his passion about man's future, the migration between cultures, and the enigmas of the universe. The collector, a friend of the artist's family since childhood, acquired the works directly from the artist.
