Beautiful example of an early Winchester Model 12 in the desirable 20ga WS-1 choked 25" Vent Rib barrel. Ivory front bead sight, fancy walnut pistol grip stock and forend. Consignor reports his grandfather sent this gun back to Winchester or Simmons directly for the addition of the Simmons Floating Vent Rib some time in the 50's. The bluing on the barrel albeit done post manufacture, is professionally done and matching to the gun which would concur an early hot bluing process. This gun is a competition ready skeet gun. *C&R Eligible Condition: Excellent all around as customized. Mechanically sound with strong lock up. Bluing on the barrel and receiver are 95+%. Wood is excellent with only some storage and handling marks. Bore Diameter @ 6" from muzzle = .613 LOP @ Heel= 14" LOP @ Toe= 14 5/8" Choke= .611 WS-1 (Winchester Skeet 1) Drop @ Comb = 2 1/2" Drop @ Heel = 1 1/2" Weight= 6.8 lbs Cast Off
