Item Details
The Thumper was the first B-29 to fly 40 bombing missions over Japan and, shot down 26 enemy aircraft and gained national renown after returning from the war. The Crew members items being sold are from Lt. Marshall J. Deutsch and includes a foot locker, medals and insignias grouping, Type A-11 leather flight helmet, leather goggles, several shirts, three ties, many books and manuals, hundreds of newspaper clippings, several related directly to the Thumper and crew, personal photographs plus other press photos of the Thumper and crew and sometimes many other people, three WWI real photo postcards that may have been Marshall's father as the letters were always written just to mom with no mention of dad. The actual medal commendations and paperwork refer to Marshall as being in two different bomber groups and squadrons

Winning bidders may pay with check or money order within the first ten days of receiving an invoice to avoid the 3% convenience fee,. if it takes longer than 10 days to send a check, we will require the invoice to be paid via credit card or paypal as we have future sales to set up for and no space to store unpaid items.
