Auction Terms & Conditions: This home and furnishings will be offered by Live/Online Simulcast bidding powered by Proxibid. You can prebid on all items beginning now and running until Saturday, June 5th. At 11 am, the auction will continue onsite selling the home first, then the 2008 Ford Expedition “King Ranch” (88,900 miles) then all the furnishings. You can bid online or onsite for this auction. If the home is sold online, a Twelve Percent (12%) Buyers Fee will be added to the final bid to arrive at the Contract Sales Price. A Contract of Sale will be emailed to the successful bidder who must return the SIGNED Contract to our office within 48 hours, along with a wire transfer of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) to our Escrow Account. Call 864-444-1321 for wire information. If the home is sold ONSITE, a Ten Percent (10%) Buyers Fee will be added to the final bid to arrive at the Contract Sales Price. A check may be accepted onsite from the successful bidder. Either way it is sold, the closing must take place within 45 days following the Auction. A credit card cannot be used for the Escrow Deposit in either case. The Buyers Fee on the Automobile and Furnishings is Fifteen Percent (15%) added to the Final Bid on Each Item. No credit card charge backs will be allowed. Purchases may be removed upon receipt of payment in full. Buyers assume complete responsibility for care of each purchase at time of sale. The auction company is not responsible for accidents, thefts, errors or omissions. Catalog: The Meares Company has put forth every effort in preparing the catalog for this auction to provide accurate descriptions of all items. South Carolina sales tax will be added to the selling price for in state buyers. Payment Payments: All accounts must be settled at the conclusion of the auction. Your credit card will be charged for your purchases, plus buyer's premiums, and any taxes. NOTHING will be charged to your card until a purchase is made. Each transaction necessary to collect insufficient funds for declined credit cards will have a $25 fee imposed. Be sure your credit card information is up to date. Most problems are caused by expiration date and card not being updated. Unpaid Balances: The purchaser agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees and costs incurred by the auction company in the collection of funds. The purchaser also agrees that a fee of 2% per month be added to the balance of any unpaid balance due the auction company and any other costs or losses incurred by the purchaser's failure to adhere to these terms. Any debt collection or dispute proceedings will be heard in Greenville County, SC. Shipping/Pick-Up Removal: All items must be removed during times specified for any auction following the close of the Auction. The designated pick up time will be posted under "Dates" on our website. It is the buyer's responsibility to provide adequate equipment, packing materials and manpower to remove his or her items. If assistance is required, a fee may be incurred payable to The Meares Company. Items that have not been picked up during pickup times following the Auction will be considered abandoned, and no refunds will be given. Pickups: All items MUST be picked up during specified pick up times. It is the buyer's responsibility to check all contents of the package before removing it from the premises. If you pick up at an auction location or by another arrangement it is also your responsibility to check the contents of the package in the company of a Meares Company Employee. We will not be held responsible for damaged or missing pieces once the package is in possession of the bidder. It's your responsibility to review your purchases and their condition. Shipping: Please contact the auction company prior to purchase for general shipping and handling information. Missing Items: We document the contents of each package. If we have missed an item in your shipment our documentation will show that. Please notify us within 2 business days of receiving the package if you think something is not included. If our documentation shows it was not packed we will forward it immediately at our cost. We are not responsible for boxes opened by anyone other than the owner. Please check the entire box and packaging for contents. DO NOT discard the original shipping box and packaging if you think something is missing or damaged.
