Item Details
9” round barrel | Comes from LIEGE and dates just after 1815. Pistols of this type were in wide use in Belgium itself, as well as other Countries and the Civilian Market. This is a substantial brass mounted walnut stocked completely standard Military Flintlock Pistol. The pistol is unmarked, except for a CROWN over W proof mark on the lock plate just rear of the pan, and the number 3147 next to hammer on lock plate, and the Crown over B Proof on barrel. The condition on this piece is overall very good for the age with a Dark mottled grey patina overall with a solid stock. Comes with a piece of flint in complete working condition. Nice piece in original and working configuration (Not often found).
