Terms Of Sale
Please read carefully the following terms and conditions. By placing a bid in this auction you agree to comply with these terms and conditions and be bound by them.
Coins are guaranteed authentic, and can be returned ONLY for reasons of authenticity or mis-identification in the description. Numisphere disclaims all other warranties, whether express or implied, except for the above, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Numisphere may provide grades and descriptions of condition of preservation, which are only opinions and with which other numismatic professionals may not concur. Under no circumstances will our description of grade or condition constitute a warranty that the item actually conforms to such a description in the view of any collector, dealer, or grading service. We provide high-resolution images and the sole responsibility for determining condition rests with the buyer. Buyer accepts that in an online-only auction they may not be able to evaluate a coin as accurately as if they had the coin in hand, and assumes the risk that the coin in hand may not have exactly the same appearance as the online image suggests. No charge-backs will be accepted; refunds will be issued only for coins returned to us in as-shipped condition and holder. Buyer should call or e-mail for return instructions. Again, items are sold 'as-is', and 'with all faults' - returns will be allowed for reasons of authenticity ONLY.
Note: authenticity guarantees apply ONLY to individual coin lots, or to boxed or encased proof or mint sets. Bulk or multiple loose coin lots are sold strictly 'as-is' and may not be returned for ANY reason whatsoever.
Due to instances of tampering in transit, we are now using the following schedule for shipping lots:
NOTE: We have increased the shipping charges due to repeated increases in US Postal Service rates.
Total value $ 1-$50: First Class mail with tracking, $3.50 shipping charge.
Total value $50-$100: First Class mail with tracking and insurance, $5 shipping charge.
Total value $100-$1000: Priority mail with insurance, $6 charge + $1 for each $100 in value (or portion thereof) above $100.
Total value $1000+: Registered mail, $15 shipping charge plus cost of insurance.
In general we do not provide estimates of value for lots, however we may refer to a value published in the 'Standard Catalog of World Coins', also known as Krause-Mischler or 'KM' in the trade. These values should be understood as very general indications only, and in no case does the catalog publisher or Numisphere guarantee that a market for an item exists at a quoted value. Coin values can fluctuate rapidly depending on precious metal spot values, collecting trends, and foreign exchange rates. Buyer is expected to do his/her own due diligence in determining monetary value of an item.
Statements of precious metal content (such as 'actual silver weight' or ASW) or fineness ('sterling', 80% silver, etc.) are based on information in the Standard Catalog or from the mint responsible for production of the coin. Such statements in an item description do not constitute a guarantee that an item actually contains the weight or fineness of precious metal indicated. Again, buyer is expected to do his/her own due diligence to determine the accuracy of stated description.
