This is a 1972 Citroen 2CV Charleston in Rouge Delage (AC446 or GKA/EKA) over Noir (AC200 or GYA/EXY). The body and paint are original, and in good condition. The vehicle was placed on a new galvanized chassis by Burton Car Co. in the Netherlands. The engine and transmission are not new or rebuilt, but have been fully serviced and are in fine running condition. A ?123? electronic ignition system has been installed. The tires, upholstery and convertible roof all have been replaced recently. Much mechanical work was done by Burton: rebuilt carburetor, in line fuel filter, fuel gauge sending unit, fuel line, various drive shaft boots, 2 of: windshield wiper arm pivot mechanism, heater control cables, under hood sound insulation, battery holder w. voltage regulator attachment, bumper rubbers, over rider rubbers, engine oil+filter, transmission oil, spark plugs, spark plug cables, air filter, valve cover gaskets special, galvanized chassis, chassis mounting hardware, 4 of: suspension cylinder mounting and adjustment hardware; complete set, 2 of: steering ball joint rebuilding hardware, all new axle to frame bolts and lock? plates, ignition key and locking mechanism, differential seals, electronic voltage regulator, headlight bulbs, shock bolt hardware, Valeo clutch kit, input shaft bearing and seal flywheel side, shift lever rubber bushings, rear wheel brake cylinders, rear brake installation kit complete, tum signal relay, left front turn signal assembly, exhaust system, exhaust installation kit deluxe.

The engine and transmission are of mid-eighties specifications; i.e. the vehicle has the latest 602 cc engine with a double barrel carburetor and external oil filter. This engine runs fine on unleaded premium gas. The transmission is a late model four speed with disk brakes. A copy of an original English language owner?s manual comes with the car.

This Citroen 2CV is sold with a title and registration.

Neither Owls Head Transportation Museum (OHTM) nor the auctioneer(s) make any representation to bidders as to the operational nature, genuineness of original parts, mileage, restoration, provenance or any written or stated material facts pertaining to these items. The seller has provided any information used in the description of the items being sold. Any warranty, if offered, shall be in writing by the seller and shall be between the winning bidder and the seller. All bidders will bid based on their assessment, inspection, knowledge and opinion of the value of the item. OHTM and the auctioneer(s) do not inspect, assess or confirm the descriptions, conditions or representations made by sellers. EXECUTION OF RESERVES Unless otherwise stated, each item is offered with a reserve set by the seller. Reserve amounts will not be disclosed to bidders until the reserve has been met. The auctioneer reserves the right to bid up to but not exceeding the reserve on behalf of the seller. RECOGNITION OF WINNING BIDDER The auctioneer shall acknowledge the highest bidder as the purchaser of each item offered, providing that the reserve has been met. In the event of a disputed bid, the auctioneer shall have the sole authority to determine the winning bidder. INSURANCE AGAINST LOSS OR DAMAGE Insurance against all perils and loss must be provided by the buyer if such protection is desired.
