Stamps - The First Commemorative Stamp Issues, 2-cent Independence Sesquicentennial stamp, issued May 10, 1926 in Boston, Philadelphia and Washington DC. The stamp was issued in conjunction with the Sesquicentennial Exposition held in Philadelphia. Comes preserved on a historical narrative panel.
*This stamp represents the Philatelic "Golden Age" with intricacy designs for an exceptional artistic miniature masterpiece, using the painstaking process of "intaglio" in which hundreds and hundreds of lines are engraved on a steel surface showcasing a wealth of detail.
*Commemorative Stamps - Issued to honor an important person, event or anniversary - printed in small quantities and sold only for a limited time.
