There is no way to bypass this feature for an auctioneer. Many states now require sales tax for auction items, but not all. If you live in a state that has passed an Auction Sales Tax Law (which most have in the past few years), the system automatically deducts your states percentage. If you live in a state that does not require sales tax on auction items, no tax will be added. Also, if you have a State Tax Number, you can register it with ProxiBid and no sales tax will be deducted. This new software is designed to make payments easier for the buyer and take the burden of the required sale tax off the auctioneer.
