Item Details
The Smith & Wesson Model 617 is the stainless steel version of the Model 17 with a full under lug barrel. The Model 17 is a six-shot, double-action revolver chambered for .22 LR, built on a medium-sized K-frame, that started out life as part the company's Pre-WWII Hand Ejector Series in the 1930s. It was designed as a target revolver and could be ordered in the 1960s from S&W with "The Three T's" : Target Trigger, Target Hammer and Target Grips. This Model 617 was made in 1993, and sports a 4" ribbed/ lugged barrel, adjustable rear sight, pinned Patridge-Style front sight and wooden combat grips with gloss finish & S&W medallions. This is in nice condition with very light wear, has a sharp/ clean bore, appears to be in good working order and comes in original box with paperwork.
